The problem
Healthcare scheduling is broken. Not "needs improvement" broken. Fundamentally, structurally broken.
Schedulers spend 15+ hours every week manually building schedules in Excel. They juggle certifications, availability, overtime rules, union contracts, and staff preferences—all in their heads or on sticky notes. One mistake means an overtime violation, an understaffed shift, or a compliance penalty.
When staff call in sick, schedulers spend hours calling down lists trying to find coverage. When someone requests a shift swap, schedulers manually verify eligibility and update the entire schedule. Every change ripples through the whole week.
The existing "solutions" are either enterprise software that costs $100K+ and takes 6 months to implement, or simple calendar tools that don't understand healthcare's complexity.
What we're building
Schedulenomics is healthcare scheduling software that actually understands healthcare. It knows about 12-hour shifts, float pools, on-call rotations, certification requirements, and overtime regulations.
Our AI doesn't just fill slots—it optimizes. It balances workload fairly, minimizes overtime costs, respects staff preferences, and ensures every shift has the right mix of skills and certifications. All while maintaining 100% compliance.
What takes a human scheduler 15 hours, our system does in 5 minutes. And it gets smarter over time, learning your facility's patterns and preferences.
Our approach
We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're laser-focused on healthcare staff scheduling. We don't do patient scheduling, inventory management, or billing. Just one thing, done extremely well.
We also believe software should be accessible. Small clinics shouldn't be priced out of good scheduling tools. Transparent pricing, no long-term contracts, implementation in weeks not months.
Current status
We're pre-launch, building with early customers who are tired of Excel and ready to try something better. We're based in New Orleans and backed by healthcare operators who understand the problem firsthand.
If you're interested in trying Schedulenomics at your facility, request a demo. We're onboarding new customers carefully to ensure everyone gets a great experience.
